Terms
The short version: it's a free site for picking movies with friends. Be decent, post only what's yours to post, and know that hosts and the site admin can remove things or people that break the rules. It comes as is, with no guarantees.
Using the site
- You need to be 13 or older.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself, since you're responsible for what's done with it.
- By signing in, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
Be decent
Don't post anything that:
- harasses, threatens or bullies anyone, or targets people for who they are;
- is sexually explicit, or shares someone's private information;
- is spam, a scam, or pretends to be someone else;
- you don't have the right to share (for example, someone else's photo or writing).
Gory talk about horror movies is fine. That's what the site is for.
Don't try to break the site, get around bans or blocks, scrape it, or get into accounts or wheels you weren't invited to.
Your stuff
Your reviews, notes, photos and other posts stay yours. You let The Movie Wheel store them and show them to the people the privacy policy describes, for as long as they're on the site.
Movie titles, posters and details come from TMDB and OMDb, and belong to their owners. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Hosts and the site admin
- A wheel's owner and co-hosts run that wheel. They can invite people, remove them, ban movies and set the wheel up how they like.
- Anyone can report a person, review or note. The site admin reads reports and may remove posts, warn people, or take an account off the site.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, with or without notice.
Leaving
You can delete your account from your profile at any time. The privacy policy explains what's deleted and what stays.
No guarantees
The Movie Wheel is a free hobby project, provided "as is". It may have bugs, change, go down, or shut down, and data could be lost. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or damage from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
